Former President Mahama Affirms Commitment To Free Secondary Education: “The Free SHS policy has come to stay, and I am committed to improve it-John Mahama

 



Former President John Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has strongly reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy. During an extensive engagement with journalists, Mahama emphasized his dedication to enhance the policy if he is re-elected to power. He firmly dismissed ongoing claims that he opposed the initiative, reaffirming his support and clarifying his intention to address current issues and that his objective is to improve it in order to effectively address existing challenges.


Mahama further detailed his stance, indicating his readiness to support the Free SHS Bill in Parliament, as long as it aims to strengthen and sustain the policy. He assured the public that his focus is on the betterment of the educational system, emphasizing that the policy has become an integral part of the nation's educational landscape.If he is been elected to power in the 2024 upcoming elections.


Moreover,Mahama pledged to tackle and resolve the various issues currently facing the Free SHS policy.
